Employment Equity Policy
Bytes Healthcare Solutions has a policy on equity in the workplace and has complied with the Department of Labour and the ISETT SETA requirements with regards to employment equity and skills development.
The key features of Bytes Healthcare Solutions’ employment equity policy are the following:
- Ensure that there is equity of opportunity for all staff to benefit from employment and advancement opportunities in our business;
- Identify training and development needs, and develop and encourage skills enhancement for all our staff in keeping withthe functional and strategic requirements of our business; and
- Contribute to the affirmation of historically disadvantaged individuals in a meaningful and constructive manner.
Our approach to recruitment and placement is pragmatic and is guided by business strategy, the competency requirements of a position, shortlisting of qualified candidates, and selection based on behaviour-based interviews. Where possible, we will afford preference to candidates from historically disadvantaged backgrounds.
The Bytes Healthcare Solutions Employment Equity Policy has been further extended in the form of internship positions for individuals from tertiary institutions with a view to providing a facility for workplace learning which, in turn, will allow for the identification of potential future appointees. At present, and for the foreseeable future, internships will only be made available to candidates from historically disadvantaged backgrounds.
